It's September.

Here it is, September,
long pants, dignity and
uncertainty, fresh
youngadult masses
straining bandwidth and
patience, in backpacks
and red cup clusters
wander-dancing with
their carefreedom
and their hang-ups,
while I struggle
less to absorb their
chaotic zipping sometimes drunken
street crossing/clogging
and more to fight my own
every instinct and desire
and hold to dignity
in the uncertainty
and loss

because it's September,
see.
