Alison Bechdel is talking in town tomorrow.  If the retrograde thing has its legendary ways, she won't communicate much, her audio-visual equipment will mess up, and I'll get hit by a car outside the theater.

Next May, Mercury's retrograde motion will carry it across the face of the sun in a transit. It will be visible from Michigan if the weather is decent.

So that will be cool.

I don't get why Mercury in retrograde is the one internet-fashionable bit of astrological woo. I suppose I should be grateful that people don't go on about Jupiter being in retrograde or Mars at quadrature and how that means you should chop off a toe for good luck when the full moon is in conjunction with Saturn.
