and MR goes on
Spent most of Sunday on activities related to seeing Paula off---putting to rest, saying goodbye, telling and hearing tales of, etc. Boy did that woman run in a coupla big, emotionally intra- and inter-connected families. As the evening ended, we of the clean-up crew talked of hoping to get together to party with the folks from the Observer, as they seem to be our kind of people.
Lots of ex-MR workers showed up. I liked that. Got to meet the guy my boss and a buncha women used to be infatuated with, and a number of others I'd heard about from the olde days. Such a funny workplace, this. It's not the new hip cool workplace you hear about with the computer whizzes, but it has vestiges of its own, old school cool.

I wish I or you would win the lotto sometime in the next few weeks...then I'd pay off your house and buy MR and build a commune for sensitive artists...oh, the things i would do...well, I hope that it works out for you. I want to get out of town sooo bad myself, but I've got to store up some ppl for at least a month first...I hope you get to escape...if not me, I'd rather it be you...
