Just got off the phone with Stevie. I think I have a date for a crazy hat parade with him & his womon soon. It's time to start thinking about what to do about the holidays.

I've got some nature-of-the-country-for-queers talk to get to here some time. Haven't felt like writing it in the last few days, though, with this uprising of the Grim R and the attendant loss of that good Paula. Funeral stuff tomorrow, including the reception at work---I'm going in for a few hours beforehand to help them get set up.

I really haven't been to funerals much. For each of my parents we had a memorial kind of thing---for my father the "we" was the rest of the family; for my mother, it was me and Holly, along with my brother and sister-out-law.

That seems pretty long ago now.

I've only been an orphan for about a third of how long pijeanf has, though.
