I want to thank you again for letting me use this icon. All the fatsos on LJ love it. I'd love to know who made it so I can credit them, and is it o.k. for me to pass it on to others?
Hey, eve_l! I got permission from the maker of this icon (whose i.d. I forget, sadly---ran into her on a community) to use it and share it freely, uncredited. She was happy to have it going out into the public domain, as 'twere.
Hey, it's hard to keep track of where we get these things from, unless ya make an effort. I plan to follow your lead in this regard---people work hard on these things, and I too believe in crediting people's creative expression and output where possible.

I don't suppose you have any inclination to help out over here---I've pretty much given up, wondering why I bothered to try with this guy to begin with. I think it's cuz lately I've been seeing, & admiring, people speaking truth to power---that great old expression I heard someone use again recently---and I wanted to give my little yip or yap.
I swore off arguing with people online. It does my head in. It takes me two to three times as long to come up with cogent rebuttals because of ADD related issues. Sometimes I can be incredibly articulate, and sometimes I'm left with an empty thought balloon above my head.
Not that I think trying to open this guy's mind to some sense isn't worthwhile. Please ignore double negatives.
However, I'll think about it on the trip to and from Portland today. If I'm not too tired, I might drop some links later.
It would be great to get a lot of these folks participating in something like the "debunkingwhite" community on LJ. However, they'd have to get to the basic 101 level of unlearning racism. This guy isn't there yet.
