Have to leave work a little early to take the cat to the vet---nothing dire (we sure hope), but after a urinary tract scare 2 days ago (which seemed to be an infection) now we are worrying about a colon blockage. The x-ray shows what the vets hope is an air bubble (yes, a fart, fundamentally) and you can see what's, uh, in there awaiting its chance to come out. So please join me in hoping the kitty's just constipated from the stress of the visit to the vet Tuesday evening.

In other news, Holly's sold her '65 Bug (goodbye, Sally).

good luck

and also, my aunt lila had a light blue '65 bug named lilian. she drove it until 1989, when she and her hubby decided they were going to get on a steamer ship in louisiana and take it to england, then retire in portugal (they never actually made it there) and so she gave the bug to my sister, who promptly ran poor lilian into the ground and burned out the engine. i loved that car.

They're so cute. Holly's was emerald green. She was sure fun to drive when the weather's nice like this.

Wasn't such a bad investment, either---she drove it for 7 years, not even keeping it in quite the condition it was in when she got it, and sold her for the same thing she paid.

also, should we blame brandon for the sick animals, too? because wintersnight's puppy is in the hospital.

Good luck with the Chester Bug. I hope he's feeling better. Give him a pet for me.
