Oct. 20th, 2004 12:27 amThis is getting ridiculous.
This game didn't even go into ex-tree innings, and it's still almost 12:30 in the morning when it ends. I guess it didn't help that they had to call out the riot police on the yankee fans. (Usually I don't find myself siding with the riot police, but there's an exception for every rule.)
So, Game 7 tomorrow night. That's where the Curse will have its chance to wrench the most heart.

Date: Oct. 20th, 2004 04:25 am (UTC)Yeah, I was thinking last night how odd it is that after 9/11, the Yankees had the goodwill of the entire nation, and they seem to have blown it already, given how excited lots of people are to see them lose. And then I realized, that's kind of a microcosm of our situation in the world, isn't it?
Was that person who got hit by the homerun ball okay, incidentally? That can't feel good...
Anyway, off to pick up Bev at the airport! Yeeeee! Have a great day!

Date: Oct. 20th, 2004 09:25 am (UTC)I think it's despicable how the 7th inning stretch has become G*D F***IN' BLESS A***ICA time, thanks to the stinky Yankees (who, yes, had a lot of good will after the attack, but not mine).
Hope youse two are having a great time. Robin misses your bouncing!
