I'm glad I got the deck surface done when I did: 8 of the 10 days in the weather.com forecast for A² show rain expected.

When raindrops were hitting my head the other day, I thought how nice it felt; I've missed precipitation during this recent dry spell. Prob'bly won't feel that way in a fortnight, tho'.

fortnight is such a good word...I love your vocabulary, fflo. And, I would love to hear you use it in person some time soon!

Why, uh, thank you, I guess. Funny---I never feel as if my vocabulary is sufficient for my needs, and there are always words cropping up that I don't know or have a feel for. The somewhat archaic ones I have a fondness for, I admit, and part of that is probably just adolescent rebelliousness I've never grown out of.

I'd like to talk in your presence soon, though, and have you talk in mine. What sort of social activity might you be up for in the near future? (Just hangin' out counts, to me, as a social activity too, for the record.)

all sorts of things count as social activity...would you like to come over to our house for dinner some time next week? What is your schedule like? Ours can be crazy, but we eat dinner every night.

I would most definitely like that. I work late on Mondays and kinda late on Wednesday... what time do you and D generally, uh, chow down?

Generally, I start cooking the minute we get home (between 5 and 5:30)...We actually get home at around 7:30 on Wednesdays, so if that isn't too late for ya, that would be cool. Or, we could do Thursday, though I have to workout at 9ish on Thursdays, so I would have to take leave by then.
Yeah! I am so excited!
