my little version of Dancing In the Streets

Last weekend a good crowd enjoyed the bellydance performance of onstar and non-lj D., along with their back-up dancers (the Pips?), downtown at Dancing in the Streets. Their area was an interactive stage setting, so the audience got to play, too. I didn't try the bellydancing moves demonstrated, but I did play along with Romanian folk dance at the end of the act before bellydancing. Here are some squirrelykat shots thereof:

is that a newfoundland? 'cause they're all hairy (and lucky to be living up north, in this one's case), except with shorter-haired lablike faces that stick out. very very cute!
