Cheryl Haworth

Just found out about this woman. How could I have missed her?

Is she an Olympic lifter? I tend not to watch the Olympics, but if they have women weight lifters, I just might.

Yep! Apparently there are two U.S. women lifting. I don't know the schedule for TV coverage yet.

If I think about it, I might tune in. I'm hoping I can get back on track lifting once my shoulder heals. However, I don't have big goals, just fitness.

Beats me! I'm excited to see her compete this week. I just happened to catch a few minutes of the women's lightweight lifters, and oh my fuck. Thailand and Indonesia had fierce competitors! Well, to me, anyway. I know nothing of the sport and just gawk.

Yeah, this woman is an inspiration to me. She is something of a phenom, and at 300 lbs, is probably the heaviest American female Olympian. She might even be the heaviest woman period, I know that she is generally at the top of the female super heavyweights, her weight class.
If you find her interesting, I could do some deadlifts for you some time. I'm not nearly as strong as Cheryl, but I'd give it my best shot. ;)

not a problem. my baby thinks deadlifts are a little boring to watch, and I am always glad to have someone there...I did 50 deadlifts last night, so it'll be at least a week till I do some more, however-
We'll have to wait a little while, as my garage is still full of garage sale remainders, and I have been working out elsewhere. But you are welcome to come over next time I do some at home!
