It's incredibly hot; the missions are getting more and more dangerous to the point that she's scared to go on one (but has no choice, of course)---they're hit by something or another every time out, and she doesn't even want to talk about the details, so's not to worry us (but has requested prayers); there's been more bad news in her personal life, too.
She does get to come home on leave briefly late this month (I believe). Then she's headed back with no end in sight.
