It's typical, really. I am so much in the middle in so much, yet rarely in medias res. Used to be obsessed with symmetry as a child, particularly symmetrical bodily sensations. Did about as well on both parts of the SATs and GREs (though best in logic). I suppose the rationalist bent of the family in which I grew up does rule, at least insofar as I most often turn to reasoning to puzzle out the conflicting urges/instincts/desires/plans/whatever. Felt tortured to pick a major. Love to be copyediting math. Am not a Kinsey 3, but close to it. (4.2, maybe? moving toward 5.2, as long committed relationship continues? I dunno.)
