This meter, unlike the other kind, doesn't update automatically. I'm booking, but still behind (as you can see); feeling pretty idiotic just freewriting away, with little idea where I'm going or how my 1st-person passages and third-person passages will fit into some larger structure. But it's kind of fun anyway. I'm much more of a structure nut than this, and though I free-form like crazy in most other forms, in prose I am out of my element doing so.

I think I'm starting to have affection for my characters, even though they're far from half-baked.
