major hitch in the git-along
Mar. 13th, 2006 09:18 amthis morning i got to work over an hour early, having awakened with a nasty cramp in my upper back that hasn't worked itself out as i've moved around (gingerly). i just broke down & ate a pill; have a heat thing on it, too---one of those thermathingie patches left over from when i had the chronic shoulder problems. rather attached to my e-z mobility nowadays---sure hope it's a one-day problem.
i hear larryville got some serious weather last night. the day dawned ominous-looking up here, that's for sure. supposed to be some snow later. i got laughed at by a co-worker the other day after suggesting that our most recent dusting might be the last for this winter. they tell me there's always something in late march or even april hereabouts.
so there you have the dual pedestrianism of reports of little aches & the current weather.

Date: Mar. 13th, 2006 04:05 pm (UTC)Things have officially cleared up here, and it's much chillier than it was yesterday. A little part of me is still holding out for winter to have a last huzzah. ;^)

Date: Mar. 13th, 2006 04:16 pm (UTC)As for the snow thing...last year it snowed in May or June...It was 80 degrees down in MO on Saturday, and I was wearing 3 layers of clothes riding the motorcycle up here...I can't wait to move to a more moderate climate...Of course, those not used to a common occurance of 100+ degree days should not attempt such a move...Personally, I've learned the importance of loafing around during the hottest parts of the day. There's a reason they have front porches with rocking chairs in the south...y'ain't suppos'ta be working in the heat of the day.
And, as for the storms...my back yard is a mud puddle, and my dog made an excellent bed vibrator all night...No need to keep feeding him quarters when the room keeps lighting up like it's daylight. Besides...where would I put the quarters?
