OMG, I used to make acrostics too, for friends. By hand. Have gotten some info relayed from the Wordle Lady on how the older pair at NYT made theirs, with Scrabble tiles, of all things. Moreover, acrostics are my favorite word puzzle! They have a pay-off, and I love the back-and-forth. I can suck at the first pass of clues but fill in a lot from my hunches about words in prose, and gradually make my way through.
