Postcard of the Day
We're getting close to wrapping up Message Week here at PotD. Today's offering:
Message rotated and enhanced:
Willard (is not only a sayer of "Frisco" but) really doesn't want Miss Hattie(?) to think there's any particular reason he sent her this particular card:
I couldn't find a "The Wayne" (hotel or apartments) in Richmond, though I thought I'd hit something at first when I found this image, which unfortunately turned out to be in Fort Wayne:
There was a Wayne Works in Richmond that began in 1837 as the Wayne Agricultural Works in Dublin, moved to Richmond in 1876, and branched out from farm equipment to carriages & then early school buses. But surely that's not where Hettie Elliott lived.
Or maybe that doesn't say "The Wayne"??
