I didn't post on Day 3.  Not much to say here on Day 4, so far.  It's cold and rainy out, and so far today I've watched TV, had some late breakfast, and fixed the clock in the living room to reflect the end of daylight savings time.  Sure, that was some weeks ago, but this is pretty quick for me.  So old school, having a clock up on the wall that doesn't update its time itself.

Thinking yet again today about that sweet spot of compassion and discipline in how I take care of myself.

Oh, one thing I've done pretty well with today, from my list of things to aim to do daily or near-daily on this break, is deleting apps from my phone.  I've even deleted some game apps that I'd advanced in quite a bit, and thus deleted all that progress.  Somehow that's hard, even with games I think I've wrung all the fun out of, or by far most of it.

It's clearly still dripping rain out there, but the radar looks much better than it did before.  Time to put outside clothes on and go be in life a little, if away from people, particularly indoor people.  I don't need to see Mr. Blandings build his dream house yet again.  I've seen Mr. Blandings build his dream house plenty of times.

My dutch oven mac & cheese is way too good.  I eat more of it than I'm hungry for.  Yes technically that's not on the mac & cheese, and its quality.  But you get the idea.

Sure do like lollygagging in my new $15 Target sweatshirt, in its shade of muted pink that it's unusual for me to be drawn to.  Looks like the color of some of my mother's make-up.  Or the pen she signed our birth certificates with, all smooth all around cuz it had no pocket clip, which was how you could tell it was a ladies' pen.

Sweatshirts are never quite the same after you wash them.  The insides, I mean.  The softness.
