As you may know, there's a whole category/genre of old postcards referred to as "exaggeration".  Ordinarily I'm not much of a fan of them, but I like the occasional one, like this one.

I think the extra care for the realism of it, in the surreal card, is a big part of what I like, besides liking pairs. It's in focus and the painting didn't blur any of the details. Such care to the letters! And the wood ends up looking like wood. Great job by the colorist on this one.
