I tried googling it but only got a Spanish child's book about not wanting to take a bath haha. Are you familiar with this? I'm intrigued.

It's in this castle in Mexico: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapultepec_Castle

And Carlota was this person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlota_of_Mexico

According to https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/chapultepec-castle,
"With the rise of the Second Mexican Empire in 1864 the castle became the official residence of Emperor Maximilian I and his wife Empress Carlota. Maximilian, while in name and title the Emperor of Mexico, was in fact an Austrian prince of the Habsburg dynasty who was not ethnically Mexican at all, having been offered the crown by Mexican monarchists who were puppets of the French who sought to add Mexico to their empire. During this period the castle began to take on its current floor plan, with Maximilian hiring multiple architects to re-design the castle in the neo-classical style which was popular at the time."

But if you're only gonna read one thing, I reckon this is a good one:

First off, nothing makes me happier than when comments are supplied with sources.

Secondly, what a fascinating couple! And the fact that they redesigned that castle really makes the style so unique as it blends with the Empire style - and now this neo-classic... I can only imagine keeping it restored and "heathy" would drive any historical architect mad (not as mad as the Empress, of course lol). I saw the tub as I read The Daily Beast article... it's stunning!

Thank you!!

Sure! This is the kinda thing I find out about from liking old postcards. :) Maybe someday I'll get down there to tour the castle. It's cold here today, so that sounds like a good idea just about now!
