Taking a photo of a barrier island from this angle terrifies me. Its like, one small storm and the entire place will be flattened. The tiniest sea level rise and the town will be under water. I know there are entire Pacific islands like this, but they have nowhere else to go. Here people could build just a bit inland and not risk losing everything in a spot of bad weather or a few decades of climate change. Interesting pic.
