I worked there in the magical summer of 1995.

I was there in the 70s a few times and then once in the late 80s and once in the late 90s and maybe once since, but not '95, I don't reckon. So you didn't get me a 5¢ cuppa coffee (or sell me postcards) (or w/e you did there) (repair the robot musicians?).

I was in the main dining room, where you used to be able to eat under a tree, but the tree died before I got there, so instead you could admire the Husteads' large collection of Western art while you ate. I told people when their orders were ready, dished out doughnuts, and pointed them to the 5 cent coffee, free ice water, ice cream parlor and bathrooms.

My brother sold postcards next to one of the singing robot cowboy displays...I think it just about drove him nuts.

I've eaten in there. With the art. The tree mighta been there when I was a kid, but I don't remember it.

My brother worked at a fried chicken place for a while. We could never have fried chicken in the house after that. I bet your brother doesn't think singing robots would be cool in his house!
