My answer's only an estimate. R thought there was about a foot of snow in the yard when he went to refill the birdfeeders before the storm hit. We'll probably measure tomorrow.

Okay...it's not quite 20 inches...but it sure feels like it. I went on an arctic expedition to the mail box, and lost 12 men!

No, my talent lies in convincing 12 men to go with me to fetch the mail. ;-)

Honestly, I can't tell. It just seems like a heck of a lot and it's too hard to drive in. And it drifts. It doesn't seem very pretty right now!

Oh, but I like the name "Wednesday Shackleton," don't you?

What can I name that? Houseplant?

here in A-squared we got 12+ inches. more than the 6--8 they
were predicting. very cold, light snow NOT good for snowpeople
making! or snow angels! or snowballs! no packing, and tons of drifting. if it'd been during the week, we'd have had a snow day! DOH!....get anything don besides SHOVELLING! HA!
(I measured with a yardstick - the snowfall)

I filled out the poll before I found out. I honestly don't know, but it feels like about 8 inches out there.

Houseplant, goldfish. It is a good name. We actually have a named houseplant--Gloria. I didn't name her. The woman who gave her to me did.

I was gonna say.

As in, houseplant named after Mom would be odd.

Yeah, I tried to make a snowwoman yesterday & realized the stuff doesn't pack. But it's not too bad to shovel, at least.
