Date: Jan. 23rd, 2017 09:56 pm (UTC)During the show I realized I'd be much more hesitant to expose my little kid to the angry-shouted song about KKK violence that included a cinder block being thrown through another kid's window. Or the talk (words I'd written myself) about how the people at Pulse thought they were in a safe space, and a few other dark things. Maybe even how our chorusmate died suddenly, if I hadn't yet talked to the kid about death. And on the subject of sexuality, the two guys in leather acting out the one striking the other with a riding crop: isn't that touchier stuff than condoms in their wrappers?
