This little wonder has lightened my heart today, and put a funny song in my head:

Wow. Like a cross between the Ambiguously Gay Duo and Fuck Yeah, but creepy as hell.

my goodness, that was funny. I am a big fan of kikkoman, and that totally reminded me of one of my favorite treats from back in the day-a cheap ass microwave burrito with kikkoman on it.
Woo, my blood pressure just went up thinking about it.
thanks for sharing that video.

The kitty hung himself. Because he ran out of Kikkoman? Makes me have to ask myself if I realy want to purchase this product. I might rather stick with crack on my little fried fish thingeys.

Oooh, I hadn't seen that frame. I've mostly been listening to it in the background while I do work today. I DO NOT FAVOR KITTY SUICIDE.

I have to say, though, that I like square-root-box-head man.

I'm partial to Sake-man. I think he poured out a little liquor for the kitty.

How it intersects with U.S. pop culture is fascinating, though, dontcha think? We were just talking about this at the office today. Me, I think of movies like Mystery Train and Tampopo (more than Lost in Translation) and baseball and such, with impressions about how "our" culture regarded within theirs. RLZ was making points about Hello Kitty as an example of a marketing knack. I don't know much about anime, fer instance---a dead give-away of how little I know of Japanese pop culture---but I'll say this: pop culture dominates/influences/shapes both the U.S. and Japan greatly. More than most places, I reckon.
